PNW Black Pride Celebrates, Inspires, and Advances equity for All People.
PNW Black Pride is about resisting hate, resisting abuse and fostering real growth in our community. It is refusing to accept discrimination and rejecting inequality whenever and wherever we come across it. To take away one’s pride is to take away one’s identity. It is the opposite of resistance - it is giving in.
We resist hiding.
We abhor closets.
We acknowledge no walls.
Pride started as, and remains, a show of resistance for Trans-forming our Community Together!
OUR MISSION
PNW Pride produces events and activities to achieve inclusiveness, equality, respect, and awareness in Pacific Northwest region and beyond. Fostering diversity, unity, visibility, and dignity, we educate, support and celebrate equality as we advocate to build and strengthen community connections.
OUR VISION
PNW Black Pride seeks to inspire communities of color to preserve our place in history and to advance new opportunities for future growth. We further seek to advance our community by embracing our diverse history, culture, and identities, through promoting community engagement and inclusiveness, all while striving for visibility and respect.
